Gutters are very important to the protection of your home. Their purposeis to divert water. They are great at it. They protect the foundation of your home from erosion. They can prevent the growth of mold and protect siding, doors, and windows. They provide great value for home owners.

During your roof inspection, your gutters should also be inspected. Some contractors leantowards always recommending new gutters with a new roof. This way there is no worry of damaging the existing gutters during roof replacement and it can be additional profit. However, your gutters do not always need to be replaced when your roof is replaced. They should be inspected properly and if they do need to be replaced, it should be because it is necessary and valuable to you as a homeowner.

If your original gutters are in good condition, straight, and don't leak, then they can stay!
